Salary Range: $45,000 – $65,000

Educational Requirements

A Master’s degree and licensure in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or a related field is preferred, as is certification or licensure in the relevant discipline.
A Bachelor’s degree may be considered if the individual’s background is in nursing or if their experience is uniquely suited for the management of a Recovery Kentucky Center environment.
Experience in management and/or program administration is required.

The Program Manager must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, racial/ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as sensitivity to sexual orientation and recovery status.
If in recovery, the individual must have maintained a minimum of five years of continuous sobriety and actively participate in a personal recovery program.


Duties and Responsibilities

The Recovery Kentucky Center Program Manager provides overall supervision and administrative leadership for the Genesis Recovery Kentucky Center within the Pathways Addiction Program. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all clinical and administrative aspects of the Recovery Center.

  • Hiring, supervising, and evaluating qualified clinical and support staff.

  • Providing direct services to consumers, including assessments and psychotherapy, in accordance with Pathways’ policies and procedures.

  • Advocating for consumers and promoting Recovery Center services throughout the community.

  • Collaborating with other Pathways program areas and managers to ensure coordinated service delivery.

  • Maintaining productive working relationships with local care-giving agencies and community partners.

  • Monitoring and adhering to the program’s budget and financial requirements.

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, and best practices in addiction recovery.

  • Demonstrating and promoting competencies as outlined in Addiction Counseling Competencies: The Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes of Professional Practice.

Travel is required for this position and will be reimbursed in accordance with Pathways’ policy.


Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrated competency in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes described in Addiction Counseling Competencies: The Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes of Professional Practice.

  • Strong leadership and management abilities, with prior experience in program administration.

  • Working knowledge of the Twelve-Step recovery process and its application in clinical and community settings.

  • Familiarity with ASAM, LOCUS, and CASII criteria, including the ability to conduct and interpret level-of-care assessments.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to professional ethics, quality care, and continuous improvement.
