Overview
The Crisis Residential Recovery Unit (CRRU) Associate provides direct support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises within the CRRU and Children’s Crisis Unit. This role ensures a safe, supportive environment while assisting with daily operations, crisis response, and coordination of client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor clients to ensure safety and well-being in a residential crisis setting
- Support clients with medication self-administration according to established protocols
- Answer and document crisis line and Mobile Crisis calls (Ashland location)
- Accurately complete admission, discharge, and required documentation
- Perform routine safety checks, including vitals and bed checks
- Respond to and assist in de-escalating crisis situations
- Provide transportation for clients to appointments or essential services as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency standards
- Complete required 40+ hour Crisis Intervention/ASAM training
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to pass and complete required crisis/ASAM training
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress or crisis situations
- Basic understanding of client care coordination in behavioral health settings
Preferred Skills
- Experience in behavioral health, residential care, or crisis services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques
