Job Summary:           The Trauma Counselor is responsible for assessing and counseling victims of rape, sexual abuse/assault, and human trafficking.  This includes individual and group counseling, and make referrals to other helping agencies.  The Trauma Counselor will coordinate relationships between other human services agencies and be a consultant for courts, law enforcement, and the public in general.  The Trauma Counselor will continually assess the needs of the victims and their families and reflect these needs in staffing, evaluations, treatment plans, and chart notes.  All other duties outlined in current job description. 
Skills/Knowledge:     This position requires organizational skills, as well as knowledge and skills in coordination of client care.  Three years of experience in the helping profession and treatment of human abuse.
