SUMMARY:

A Scaffold Planner is responsible to plan the build and dismantle of scaffolding structures, ensuring that company goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget. The Scaffold Planner reports to the site supervisor.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 5 years of craft knowledge in the trade.
  • Experience in the design of scaffolding structures an asset.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience with multiple types and systems of scaffolding.
  • Knowledge of Scaffolding General Requirements, & Scaffolding Code of Practice 2009 (OH&S Regulations) an asset.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Production of all relevant documentation in adherence to company procedures.
  • The ability to interpret detailed scopes of work, drawings, and specifications.
  • Consulting with company managers, supervisors, and foremen, as well as clients.
  • The ability to problem solve, organize, and prioritize to deliver within a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional and concise communication in written and oral form.
  • Interacts with field/site management and corporate/functional management.
  • Interpret and understand client requirements.
  • Excels at operating in a fast pace and diverse environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Production of all relevant documentation in adherence to company procedures.
  • Consulting with company managers, supervisors, and foremen, as well as clients.
  • Provision of guidance, advice, and technical support to management and supervisors.
  • Plan the build and dismantle of scaffolding structures.
  • An ability to interpret detailed scopes of work, drawings, and specifications.
  • Estimates material and worker requirements to complete the job.
  • Analyzes and plans installation and construction of equipment and structures.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency and safety.
  • Directing field employees when required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Interacts with field/site management and corporate/functional management.
  • Interpret and understand client requirements.
