We are looking for MACHINE OPERATORS to join our team! The Machine Operator I is responsible for monitoring the powder machines to ensure the highest quality product and that it matches the batch record specifications. This individual is accountable for low yields and high scrap. 

Responsibilities:

  • Learns how to set up, operate, and monitor the All-Fill, and any other powder filling machines.
  • Cleans and sanitizes production room prior to production run following cGMP requirements.
  • Learns how to set up, operate and monitor the weight scale, metal detector, scoop dispenser, capper and 
    cap sealer.
  • Maintains quality control by ensuring that each filled bottles’ weight matches the batch record.
  • Double checks any bottles rejected by the sensors, corrects and passes back through sensors (excluding 
    scoop dispenser, capper and cap sealer).
  • Learns how to clean All-Fill, and any other powder filling machines, as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintains room and machine cleanliness while running a product within specified guidelines.
  • Performs periodic testing for proper weight and ensure a proper seal for the cap has been made.
  • Reads and follows written batch record instructions.
  • Properly fills bottles with powder according to batch records.
  • Completes and checks required production records and documents.
  • Observes Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Practices at all times.
  • Notifies Lead/Supervisor of any product that does not meet specifications, tooling/machine components 
  • are worn or damaged and need to be re-ordered.
  • Reports to lead/supervisor any discrepancies/issues concerning the set-up of the All-Fill or other powder 
    filling machines, powder hopper and PIAB vacuum systems.
  • Performs other projects and tasks as assigned by management. 


Qualifications:

  • 0-1 year of work experience in the same or similar industry.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, divide, and combine units of measure, and calculate fractions and decimals.
  • Communication Skills (Oral/Written) - able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations.
  • Detail Oriented - pays close attention to detail, accuracy and completeness, double checking their work.
  • Ability to use a calculator to add, multiply, subtract, and divide decimals, basic units of measure, and mechanics.
