We are looking for a Gummy Production Lead to join our team!
 
The Production Lead is responsible for identifying, managing, and executing gummy processes. The production lead will support the department supervisor in identifying problems in the production processes and resolving issues. They will also ensure production resources - materials, equipment, and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the execution of gummy plans to meet on time deliveries, reducing costs, at highest efficiency and quality, and according to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Assigns daily work and direction to Gummy production team to meet production schedule.
  • Ensures that materials and products are processed and utilized following the GMP's and Company Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide Quality and Safety leadership to the Gummy employees.
  • Assists with reordering required supplies for Gummy department.
  • Coaches team in personal accountability, giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, problem solving, decision making, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications, and external interactions.
  • Leads and participates in Focused Improvement Teams to improve Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
  • Provides frequent informal and periodic formal job performance feedback to team.
  • Facilitates and reacts to non-routine and crisis situations.
  • Provides scheduled personnel coverage for vacations and personal holidays.
  • Follows/enforces that everyone adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures.
  • Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a lead/supervisory role for packaging/ related field in a manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to use calculator to add, multiply, subtract and divide decimals and basic units of measure.
  • Basic mechanic knowledge to troubleshoot machines when needed.
  • Communication Skills (Oral & Written) – able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations.
  • Delegation - ability to make decisions on giving tasks/responsibilities to others as appropriate in order to maximize individual skill sets to maintain efficiency.
  • Honesty/Integrity - follow through with company values and provide exceptional quality products.
  • Problem Solving - works systematically and logically to resolve problems, able to identify causation and anticipate results.
  • Safety Minded – follows/demonstrates awareness of all safety policies/procedures of self and others.
  • Teamwork/Cooperation - ability to work well with others in a group and cooperate with others.
