We are seeking a PACKAGING HANDLER to join our team! 
Strong upper body for lifting, and driving Forklift
The Packaging Handler I is responsible for checking the line #, date, product name, strength, dosage form, lot number, and package size against the packaging batch record.    

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists with checking the line #, date, product name, strength, dosage form, lot number, and package
    size against the packaging batch record.
  • Fills the machine with the correct components.
  • Cleans and sanitizes production room per cGMP requirements prior to production run.
  • Assists with the set-up of All-Fill (and any other powder filling machines), powder hopper and PIAB
    vacuum systems to ensure proper production runs.
  • Assists with the disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling of All-Fill (and any other powder filling
    machines), powder hopper and PIAB vacuum systems per established procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and functional work area at all times.
  • Learns how to operate all automatic labeling and sealing equipment.
  • Maintains and cleans the packaging room and equipment per SOP's.
  • Learns how to perform line clearance when ending one lot and starting a new lot.
  • Assists machine operators in setting up machines.
  • Conducts physical inventory of labels and components before each lot and at the end of each lot.
  • Operates forklift/pallet jacks to move proper components into the corresponding rooms, as required.
  • Participates effectively in line changeovers.
  • Follows and adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating
    Procedures (SOP's), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures at all times.
  • Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Physical Demands
  • 0-1 year packaging experience
  • Must be able to drive and operate a forklift and use pallet jack. 
  • Majority of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, and heavy
    lifting. Required to lift or handle materials or equipment of moderate weight (0-50 pounds). Required to
    operate industrial machinery. May be required to use forklift or use pallet jack to push and/or pull move upto 500kg (approximately 1100 lbs.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic Computer Skills 
  • Strong sense of urgency and time management skills
  • Problem solving skills
