The IT Technician is responsible for responding to end-user requests related to software/hardware errors, configuring new workstations, equipment moves, change requests, and maintaining inventory. Will also determine disk storage allocation, backup and restore requirements, and redundancy needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sets up/deletes user workstation, network printers, and IT-related equipment.
  • Manages IT fixed-asset inventory and IT supplies.
  • Manages IT-ticket assignment and response within SLA.
  • Manages software and hardware on corporate computing platforms.
  • Manages maintenance of the current solutions which govern desktop and laptop hardware-software standards and configurations.
  • Supports in monitoring of disk space, system and application errors, memory and swap space utilization, disk performance, CPU, and processes.
  • Maintains the user endpoint security agent.
  • Performs data backup/recovery for workstations.
  • Occasionally travel from/to other RPI local facilities.
  • Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors of Computer Science degree. 
  • 1 years’ experience in personal computer operating systems, helpdesk system.
  • 1 years’ experience on Office 365, Exchange Online and Azure AD is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge about Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Communication Skills (Oral & Written) - able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately to ensure effective department operations.
  • Safety Minded – follows/demonstrates awareness of all safety policies/procedures of self and others. Teamwork/Cooperation - ability to work well with others in a group and cooperate with others.
  • Values Diversity and Ethics - serves with integrity and respect in interacting with different ethnic backgrounds, cultures, languages and values those differences. 
  • Communication Skills (Oral/Written) - speaks clearly, concisely, and accurately to ensure effective department operations. Bilingual in Vietnamese is a plus.
