The Activities Coordinator is responsible for implementing an effective resident activities program that includes a variety of opportunities for meaningful participation by residents of all ages, interests and physical abilities.
The successful candidate will have experience working in long-term care or dementia care in a residential care, assisted living, or long-term care nursing home setting, be creative, self-driven, and open to continually learning new approaches to providing meaningful activities to individuals living with memory loss. The Activities Coordinator will work closely with the administrator, staff, and resident families with the goal of providing a well-rounded and person focused activities program.

- Experience working in a memory care setting
- Experience creating and successfully implementing an activities program for
- elders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects, and function effectively as a self-directed leader of multiple initiatives.
- The ability to communicate respectfully and empathetically with residents, their family members, and staff at every level of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Certification or degree related to health and wellness or life enrichment is a plus.
- Demonstrated success at leading and building effective, cohesive teams is also a plus.
