Teacher – Second Grade (FT)

Valley Catholic Elementary School is searching for a full-time second grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school-year. We are looking for candidates who are dynamic and innovative and will complement the experienced and committed staff at our school - one which offers a caring and nurturing environment, promotes academic excellence, and emphasizes the education of the whole child.

Applicants should:
  • Have earned a bachelor’s degree (at minimum)
  • Hold a current Oregon teaching certificate
  • Have previous self-contained classroom teacher experience at the primary level
  • Be a practicing Catholic, as this teacher will teach religion to his/her students
Knowledge, skills, and abilities to:
  • Implement effective lesson plans
  • Maintain a positive learning environment that promotes a high level of achievement
  • Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing an optimal and safe learning environment
