We are currently are looking for a qualified employee who can perform project coordination with a specialty in conservation easement valuation. This person works in accordance with the statement of work but must be able to exercise independent judgment while supporting the customer. Work is performed in accordance with team processes and NRCS policies and procedures. 

They must be able to: 

• Coordinate project management activities, resources, and information 

• Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes for completion 

• Liaise with NRCS leaders, external partners, and subject matter experts to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives 

• Track assigned tasks to EPD teams and staff and assist with schedule management 

• Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve 

• Analyze risks and opportunities 

• Monitor project progress and handle or communicate any issues that arise 

• Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders 

• Work with the Project Manager/NRCS leaders to eliminate blockers 

• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports 

• Organize material and complete writing assignments with regard to order, clarity, conciseness, style, and 


• Possess ability to write in various styles and to a variety of audiences (i.e., scientific, general, etc.) and 

ability to write documents consistent with the Government Publishing Office style manual and principles of 

plain language 

• Experience in project management, from conception to delivery 

• An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action/work plans 

• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management 

• Strong client-facing and teamwork skills 

• Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control 

Candidate will be performing project coordination for Valuation Team, including the associated coordination 

with the project lead, project manager, and valuation team to coordinate the projects. 

1. Monthly and weekly project reports for the comprehensive plan to include narrative and graphically

representative progress 

2. Provide review and recommendations to NRCS related to valuation products. 

3. Assistance to State staff with obtaining valuation services. 

4. Develop, review, edit, or update material for policy, job aids, fact sheets, or training materials. 

5. Utilization of NRCS systems 

6. Attendance or support of project meetings, training, or staff meetings at on-site or off-site locations, which may include associated travel.

 Education and Experience: 

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree 
  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Ten or more years of relevant experience may be substituted for education, and an advanced degree may be substituted for two years of experience
  • Must have or previously had (within the last 3 years) a certified general license

Required Qualifications: 

  • Advance knowledge of Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Public Trust desired
  • Must be able to obtain a clearance
