Radar Range Threat Systems Engineer SME

VISION CENTRIC,INC. is seeking a Radar Range Threat Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert
Radar Systems Engineer to provide full-time expertise on Air Force Range Threat Systems for
survivability in high-threat environments. This position will work alongside other SETAs, Senior
SMEs, Data Scientists, Systems Engineers, and Intelligence Professionals to provide strategic,
technical, and operational analysis, analytical reports, and database applications to inform Senior
Decision Makers.
This fast pace environment needs a proven self-starter, capable of working independently and with a
team. The chosen candidate will conduct engineering analysis and provide expertise on the necessary
prototypes, hardware/software upgrades, and production assets needed to support the overall mission.
They initiate, manage, mentor, coordinate and engineer complex and highly advanced Radar systems
analyses; as well as provide detailed analysis on existing and emerging Radar capabilities. This
position will support the Range Threat Systems Branch (including Advanced Radar Threat Systems
(ARTS-V1, ARTS-V2, AN/TPQ-55, ARTS-V3, ARTS-V4), Joint Threat Emitter (JTE, AN/TSQ-T10,
AN/FSQ-T34) and Branch Modernization programs (Band Sim, AN/MPS-T1, Mini-MUTES,
AN/MST-T1(V), AN/MST-T1(V), AN/MST-T1(V), MTE, AN/MSQ-T43, MUTES, AN/MST-T1A,
TRTG, AN/VPQ-1, UMTE, AN/TPT-T1(V)).
This entails threat radar systems, along with supporting tools and infrastructure to the US Air Forces
Combat Training Ranges. Support includes, but is not limited to, the acquisition of threat radars,
prototypes, engineering analysis, and hardware/software upgrades to execute faster turn prototyping,
production mod and sustaining engineering projects

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  •  Able to perform exploratory analysis and research, and present results to both technicaland non-technical audiences
  •  Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate successfully with other internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to succinctly describe complex technical scenarios in simple, easily understood terms
  • Strong analytic, inference, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
Required Experience:
  • Requires a BS degree with 12+ years of directly related experience; a MS degree with 10+ years of directly related experience; or a PhD with 8+ years of directly related experience to Radar systems listed above.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Radar SETA working within the Intelligence Community or DoD
  • Past performance working with Radars, Advanced Sensors, Long Range Radar, and High-Resolution Synthetic Aperture Radars and Radars systems listed above
  • Experience developing and conducting briefings for senior level customer stakeholders
  • Experience with Systems Engineering and all related functional disciplines
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in designing or integrating radars and an understanding of the unique limitations involved with integrating Radars into aircraft
  • Significant technical experience working with Radar systems and generating detailed analysis
